Otsumami making demonstration – Japanese seasonings to complement your ingredients

Join food writer Atsuko Ikeda at Japan House London for a live demonstration, taking you through recipes for otsumami – snacks and simple dishes designed to be eaten alongside a drink.
During the demonstration you will be introduced to these bite-sized foods, which are enjoyed in Japanese homes and izakaya, and Atsuko will explain how best to match seasonings such as dashi, ponzu, miso, and soy with key ingredients.
Guests will be invited to taste all the dishes that have been made during the talk.
At the end of the demonstration, Atsuko, author of ‘Sushi Made Simple’ and ‘Otsumami’, will also sign copies of her books purchased in The Shop.
