About Urakasumi Sake Brewery
Urakasumi Sake Brewery, Miyagi Prefecture
Shinshu available for tasting: Junmai Nama Genshu Shiboritate Urakasumi
The Urakasumi brewery is located in Shiogama, a port town in Miyagi Prefecture. Urakasumi is firmly focused on crafting classic and elegant sake: it continues to product a line-up of sake with a distinctively mellow and sophisticated taste, arising from the natural umami of rice and a perfectly harmonized balance between taste and aroma. Visitors to the Urakasumi brewery can view and purchase sake drinking sets created by local craftspeople in the brewery’s gallery, as well as take brewery tours, which are available in English. The Urakasumi brewery is now a popular tourist destination in Shiogama.
