About Tanaka Shuzojo
Tanaka Shuzojo, Hyogo Prefecture
Shinshu available for tasting: Château SHIRASAGI 65
Tanaka Shuzojo is located in Harima, in Hyogo Prefecture. This area is not only said to be the birthplace of sake, where some 1300 years ago the techniques used to produce modern sake were established, but it is also where the ultimate sake rice, the Yamadanishiki variety, was developed. Today, the brewery brings together traditions of craftsmanship and the merits of modern machinery in pursuit of original production methods to enhance its sake, which has garnered high praise in sake competitions worldwide.
