Follow the action and experience the excitement of the November 2022 Grand Sumo Tournament with a daily screening of NHK WORLD-JAPAN's GRAND SUMO Highlights at Japan House London.

Grand Sumo Tournaments or honbasho are held six times a year in various parts of Japan, with the final tournament of the year, the Kyushu Basho, taking place in November in Fukuoka. Each tournament lasts 15 days and features the top rikishi (wrestlers) competing in the ring for the prized Emperor’s Cup.
