Japan House London works very closely with the Metropolitan police and our security and visitor experience staff are trained to ensure guests have a safe, secure, and enjoyable experience. If you see anything suspicious, please let one of them know.
Please note that no sharp objects are permitted on the premises at any time (including knives and pen knives).
Visitors should not leave bags unattended and any unattended bags may be removed by our security team.
Cloakroom
Our cloakroom on the Lower Ground Floor is free and open for all visitors and event attendees. However due to restricted space, we cannot accept any luggage larger than a cabin bag (56 × 45 × 21cm). We recommend storing any luggage above this size in designated locker services nearby (such as LuggageHero or Bounce Luggage).
Visitors to the exhibition are advised that all bags (except small shoulder bags) must be stored in the cloakroom prior to entering and, as part of our security procedures, we may ask to search your bag before it is left. Bags and items left in our cloakroom are left at the owner’s risk.
Dogs
Well-behaved dogs that are small enough to be carried are welcome on the Ground Floor at Japan House London. Assistance dogs are welcome throughout the building.
