GOOD DESIGN AWARD
The GOOD DESIGN AWARD has been the only comprehensive design evaluation and commendation system in Japan since it began in 1957. Award-winning products are distinguished by the use of the “G Mark,” which is widely recognized as a symbol of good design. Companies and designers from both inside and outside of Japan participate in the GOOD DESIGN AWARD process to maintain high standards throughout their industry and thereby increase quality of life through good design. The award looks beyond the aesthetics of an object, recognizing inspirational designs that focus on practical contributions to improving lives, benefitting society, and fostering future development.
