The Stand is a takeaway Japanese drinks and snack bar located just inside the entrance of Japan House London on the ground floor. Stop by to try authentic Japanese teas, such as hot or iced matcha, hōjicha (roasted green tea) and sencha (green tea), as well as hot or iced lattes including matcha and hōjicha latte.
Kissaten coffee is served at The Stand. It is named after old style Japanese tearooms, kissaten, that also serve coffee and sweets. The coffee is brewed with the pour over method, using specialist kit from Japanese manufacturer HARIO.
A seasonal menu of Japanese confectionary is also available at the Stand such as summer matcha affogato, spring cherry blossom mochi (soft rice cake), autumn chestnut mochi and winter kumquat mochi. Visit the Stand to see the latest menu.
