Architecture for Dogs

Virtual Exhibition Tour

犬のための建築

Explore architecture on a smaller scale in the Architecture for Dogs virtual tour

Featuring a collection of architectural designs for dogs by world-class architects and designers such as Ban Shigeru, Kuma Kengo, Itō Toyō and Sou Fujimoto amongst others, the Architecture for Dogs virtual exhibition explores architecture and design that can be joyful for both dogs and their human companions.

Architecture for Dogs was devised by Hara Kenya, President of the Nippon Design Center and Japan House Creative Advisor. The creation of this virtual 3D tour is supported by JTI UK.

Exploring the tour

Discover more about the designs, their intended dog breed clients and their designers by clicking on the information icons beside each exhibit. See the designs in action via the television screens along the walls - just click on their play icons and turn on your sound.

The floor arrows will guide you to see the next exhibit up close, but you can also hop between exhibits using the circular icons on the Gallery floor, or the carousel of portals along the bottom of your screen.

Don't miss the opportunity to come up with your own Architecture for Dogs design idea! Visit the virtual design bench in the Gallery to download our worksheet.

To immerse yourself in this exhibition, click on the full screen icon on the top right-hand corner of the tour.
