As part of this month’s focus on the crafts of the Tōhoku region in north-eastern Japan, Japan House London introduces okiagari kobōshi, small folk toys from the Aizu region of Fukushima Prefecture.

Learn about the origins of okiagari kobōshi by downloading Japan House London’s colour-in worksheet. Be inspired by their characteristic features using the example designs provided. Use your imagination to colour in the three different outlines in whatever manner you like, either digitally or by printing off the templates to paint, colour or draw your designs.
