Hara Kenya Talk at the Design Museum

The pedestrian crossing outside of Japan House London on Kensington High Street has been transformed into a piece of public art by the Chief Creative Director of Japan House, Hara Kenya. Well-known in the design world, Hara is notably President of Nippon Design Center, Professor at Tokyo's Musashino Art University and Art Director of MUJI.

Appearing in London for the unveiling of his 'Creative Crossing' on Kensington High Street and London Design Festival 2019, Hara will be present at a talk at the Design Museum on 21 September.

The sold-out talk will have Hara discussing his latest project teikuhiko - a low altitude, high resolution tour across Japan, encapsulating his design sensibilities. This will mark Hara's second appearance in London since the opening of Japan House London last year, and the SUBTLE - Delicate or Infinitesimal exhibition held at Japan House in November-December 2018.

This talk has been programmed by Japan House in conjunction with the Design Museum, and is part of London Design Festival 2019 (14-22 September 2019). Read more about the event on the Design Museum website

To coincide with this event, The Shop at Japan House will stock a selection of design books by Hara Kenya, inviting guests to delve deeper into this prominent, creative mind.
