EVENT
Ramen Pop-up at Japan House on 10,11,12 October
ラーメン
Between Thursday 10 and Saturday 12 October AKIRA restaurant will be serving steaming bowls of lunchtime ramen on the ground floor of Japan House London for just £5.
Choose from two different flavours of warming noodle soup dishes to takeaway, designed by chef Shimizu Akira, just as London starts to experience the first chills of winter. Akira is the Executive Chef and owner of his namesake restaurant at Japan House and is critically acclaimed in both the UK and Japan.
The first of Akira’s noodle dishes reflects his own speciality in the kitchen – chicken. His Chicken Ramen dish includes thin noodles in an umami chicken broth, topped with deliciously crisp, kara-age fried chicken, chives, citrusy yuzu and bamboo shoots.
The second dish, the Vegan Tomato Ramen, incorporates noodles in a tomato soup, topped with assorted vegetables and marinated seaweed.
The generous portions are priced at just £5 each for this limited-run pop up, which will take place on each of the three dates between 12:00-16:00, or until portions sell out.
Both dishes are served in environmentally friendly paper bowls with lids, ideal for taking away without spillages.
The ramen pop-up will be based at The Stand café counter, on the first floor of Japan House just inside the main entrance. Due to the pop-up nature of the event the ramen bar will be running on a cash only basis. ATMs can be found located just 1 minutes’ walk from Japan House.
