Creative concept for Tsubame-Sanjo Factory Festival (Kouba no Saiten) by SPREAD

Get a deeper insight into the Biology of Metal: Metal Craftsmanship in Tsubame-Sanjo exhibition through a special talk by Kobayashi Hirokazu and Yamada Haruna from SPREAD Ltd. SPREAD has provided artistic and design direction not only to the Biology of Metal exhibition at Japan House, but also to the Tsubame-Sanjo Factory Festival (Kouba no Saiten) which inspired it.

In this talk, SPREAD will discuss the creative vision which lies behind the striking pink and white stripes of the industrial Factory Festival. They will also introduce their other projects including Life Stripe which seeks to find patterns in our everyday existence by using bands of colour, letting you see your daily, weekly or monthly routines in an exciting way.

The event will be followed by a sake reception with the support of Sake Samurai.

SPREAD

SPREAD is a creative unit created by Kobayashi Hirokazu and Yamada Haruna in 2004. By mixing the concepts of landscape design and graphic design, and by dismantling and rebuilding memory, they seek to spread multidisciplinary creations to the future.
