WORKSHOP
Designing Murakami: Making Murakami Cover Art with VINTAGE

This drop-in workshop gives participants the opportunity to illustrate a postcard featuring their own original cover design for their chosen work by the popular Japanese author Murakami Haruki. The workshop is led by Suzanne DEAN, creative director for the jacket designs of the UK editions of the Murakami collection and designer of the hotly anticipated new Murakami novel ‘Killing Commendatore’.
This event is accompanied by a pop-up display of Murakami jacket designs in the Japan House Library from Friday 5 October to Sunday 14 October. ‘Translating Murakami’ a talk by Murakami translator Ted Goossen with Murakami academic Dr Gitte Marianne Hansen is also held on Thursday 11 October.
