Coronavirus - Update
Temporary Closure of Japan House London
In compliance with the UK Government’s measures to limit the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), Japan House London remains temporarily closed.
Japan House London (JHL) has conducted a full COVID-19 Risk Assessment and, in preparation for reopening, the Team is currently putting in place a comprehensive package of measures designed to protect staff and visitors. These include arrangements for maintaining social distancing, an intensive cleaning programme, designated routes through the building, protective screens, advisory signage, hand sanitizing stations, pre-booked visits and a limit on visitor numbers.
In alignment with the UK Government’s “road map” for the easing of the lockdown, the different spaces within Japan House London will reopen in phases. This will begin with the reopening of the Ground Floor, including The Shop, The Stand and our cultural installations on 4 July. For the first five days of opening, access will be given exclusively to Corporate Members and eNewsletter subscribers. From Thursday 9 July, the Ground Floor will be open to all guests.
All guests wishing to visit Japan House London are now asked to pre-book their free visit through our online booking system. Find out more and book your free visit here.
Reopening of the rest of Japan House remains dependant on UK Government advice. Guests wishing to visit will be asked to book a time slot online. Further details on opening dates and times, booking procedures and safety measures will be published on our website in due course. Information about the reopening of AKIRA restaurant and the exhibition space will follow.
