Uchikake Design Competition

Thank you for visiting Japan House London’s stand at the Great Exhibition Road Festival.
To take part in the uchikake design competition, simply take a picture of your completed work, (including the age box) and post it on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using #MyUchikake and tagging @japanhouseLDN.
Alternatively, you can email a picture of your design to [email protected].
Submissions will be accepted up until midday on Monday 26 June 2020.
Entries will be judged in three age groups: 3-5 years, 6–9 years, 10–12 years. The three judging criteria are:
- Use of colour
- Use of natural elements mentioned in the worksheet
- Skill of execution
One winner in each group will receive a Japanese happi (festival jacket) as well as some tasty Japanese sweets.
Winners will be contacted directly by Japan House London, either by direct message on social media or via email.
