6. Sashimi Assortment at Japan House London s restaurant

Download restaurant images and find out more about the menu, interior design and Chef Akira in this folder. Akira Japanese restaurant is on the first floor of Japan House London. Executive Chef Shimizu Akira has designed the restaurant experience to showcase Japanese-style omotenashi hospitality, stunning presentation on tableware and glassware sourced from across Japan, and the theatre of cooking via the fully-open kitchen. Akira at Japan House London is recommended in the Michelin Guide UK 2020.

Here you can download a press release and images relating to the Library at Japan House. The Library offers a permanent collection of new and vintage books relating to Japan, not commonly found in the UK. The Library also features regularly changing book displays. So far themes have included Nature, Mingei (Folk Craft), LBGT Manga and Washoku (Japanese cuisine). The Library collection and displays are specially curated by Haba Yoshitaka of BACH and offer a new approach to appreciate and engage with books. A book specialist in Japan, BACH is revolutionizing the way books are displayed and curated and has helped bookstores in Japan successfully champion paper books in the digital era.

In this folder you can download an extensive range of images of Japanese products as well as press releases about the curation and concept of The Shop at Japan House London. The space blurs the lines between a shop and a gallery, offering a new model of cultural retail for the UK's high streets. It introduces Japanese products: their provenance and the artisans and designers who make them. A wide range of images are available to download, including kitchenware, jewellery, stationery, home decor, beauty products and food and drink.  The Shop regularly holds tasting events for Japanese drinks such as sake, wine and tea and condiments such as miso and soy sauce. The Stand at Japan House London

The Stand, a drinks and snack bar serving take-away authentic Japanese teas and Japanese and Japan-inspired snacks, is the first thing guests see when they enter Japan House. The menu at The Stand introduces a range of iced drinks in the summer, including matcha and hojicha lattes and iced teas. Snacks include rotating items such as a white chocolate and miso cheesecake, matcha madeleines and matcha cream cookies. The Stand also offers a range of baked goods from Happy Sky Bakery and Hifumi in London.
