Audio Visual & Interactive Assistant
- Reporting To: AV Manager
- Hours: Full time, with occasional out-of-hours requirement
The Audio Visual and Interactive Assistant will be responsible for set up, operation, maintenance and repair of all audio visual, multimedia & interactive electronic display equipment and software used within JHL, on either a permanent or temporary basis.
You will have responsibility for installing, maintaining, and repairing of all multimedia / interactive media solutions utilised by Japan House London (JHL) across permanent and temporary exhibitions and live events. This will include a wide variety of equipment such as microphones, video recorders, projectors, lighting, and sound mixing equipment.
The AVI Assistant will provide JHL with daily operational support as well as supporting technical elements of special event delivery and venue hire, at all times ensuring the very highest standards of service are maintained.
Key to this role is
- a fundamental understanding of AV technologies
- an awareness of practical issues with both relevant hardware and software,
- knowledge and experience of network technology and troubleshooting.
As this role is supporting technical and non-technical clients, you must have very strong communication skills and be able to work with a wide variety of people - professional engineers, senior management, and end-users.
