WAVE co-curator Hiro Sugiyama on blurring boundaries in art

As well as being an artist and illustrator, Hiro Sugiyama is the co-curator of the exhibition WAVE: Currents in Japanese Graphic Arts.

In this video interview Hiro introduces some of the artists featured in WAVE and explains how to find the ‘beauty and mess in the chaos’ of heta-uma – the disruptive Japanese art concept which translates as ‘bad but good’.
