

Tōhoku
Tōhoku refers to the northern region on Japan's main island of Honshu, made up of six prefectures: Akita, Aomori, Fukushima, Iwate, Miyagi and Yamagata. The area is home to sacred mountains, hot springs and several national parks, as well as notable festivals such as Aomori city's Nebuta Matsuri and Sendai city's Tanabata Matsuri.
